The Challenge

Navision is essential for managing various processes within Sunshine Group, including administration, inventory, production, and sales. At the time of contact, the system was running in a full Citrix desktop environment, which presented several challenges:

• Employees had to log in multiple times.
• Frequent switching between the local desktop and Citrix environment.
• Applications like Microsoft Teams didn’t function optimally.

This setup led to frustration and reduced productivity.

The Solution

Harbers ICT proposed a solution that combines the best of both worlds: the power of the local laptop and the functionality of Navision. The approach consisted of three key steps:

1. Laptop Reconfiguration
   All laptops were reconfigured and linked to Microsoft Entra ID, enabling Single Sign-On (SSO). Employees now only need to log in once to their laptop to gain automatic access to all necessary applications - no repeated logins required.
   
   
2. Published App for Navision
   Navision was made available as a Published App, meaning it doesn’t run locally but feels like it does. The application is hosted in the Harbers Private Cloud, ensuring optimal security, performance, and manageability.
   
   
3. Seamless User Experience
   Users can now switch effortlessly between local and cloud-based applications without interruptions. Local printing from Navision is enabled at all (including international) locations. Additionally, all office Wi-Fi networks are centrally managed, providing a consistent and secure network experience.

The Result

Thanks to this solution, Sunshine Group now benefits from a modern, efficient IT environment where users:

• Only need to log in once.
• Use Navision as if it runs locally.
• Work smoothly with Microsoft Teams and other apps.
• Print locally from a cloud-hosted application.

This new setup boosts productivity, reduces frustration, and enables Sunshine Group to make optimal use of their IT infrastructure.
